Quatre Mains (à quatre mains) =3EM16= by Shiro Sagisu

Let’s start with some beautiful music! This piano piece is a piano interlude from my favorite Japanese animated film, the third installment of Evangelion. This piano piece was originally played in four hands, and no piano score was released, so there were often people in the EVA community that I used to participate in trying to compose the score of this piano piece. This piqued my interest, and when I asked community members where they could see the music they posted, they told me one keyword -Musescore.

musescore is divided into two parts:

One is an online personal learning community where members can pay to get instruments learning online course, publish and download music uploaded by members of the community for free, and communicate with each other through comments. Members can get the content they want through keyword search, or they can get the content they are interested in through the site’s category guidelines and tag keywords.

Through tutorials or searches, users can pick and choose musical instrument learning tutorials, some are free and some are paid.

The second part is an application downloaded to the computer for users to compose music.

The link to download the musehub can be reached by clicking on the image.
This free software can be found in muse hub.

Before users get started, musescore studio has tutorials that show users how to use the software. Users can listen to, save (can be saved in various formats), upload, download, edit works at any time.

Next I’d like to share a reflection on the practical aspects of utilizing and enhancing PLN.

Using PLN for Growth:

Twitter: Many professionals use Twitter for real-time updates, networking, and sharing resources. Hashtags like #EdChat for educators or #DevCommunity for developers help users find communities of interest.

LinkedIn: This platform is popular for professional networking, learning from industry leaders, and engaging in discussions. LinkedIn Groups provide a space for sharing resources and seeking advice.

Reddit: Subreddits like r/Teachers, r/Marketing, or r/Entrepreneurship are hubs for discussion and advice. Users often share experiences and resources relevant to their fields.

Weibo: In China, professionals use Weibo to connect, share industry news, and participate in discussions. It serves as a microblogging platform for engaging with a large audience.

BILI BILI:As one of the video websites with the largest proportion of young users in China, many documentaries and professors in professional fields (such as geography, history, music, physics, chemistry and mathematics) can publish free or paid tutorials on the platform. At the same time, bilibili can also publish long articles and short logs, providing a variety of learning platforms for exchanging information.

Engaging with the Community

Participation in Discussions:

Commenting and Sharing: Users actively comment on posts or articles, providing insights or alternative perspectives. Sharing content from peers helps circulate valuable information.

Hosting Webinars or Workshops: Some professionals host online events where they discuss topics of interest, inviting peers to join and contribute.

Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything): Experts host AMAs in relevant subreddits, allowing community members to ask questions and learn from their experiences

Expanding the PLN

Long-term Goals and Strategies:

Connecting with International Contacts: Professionals aim to diversify their PLN by including international experts, which can be done through platforms like LinkedIn or Twitter by engaging with global discussions or joining international groups. For example professionals use LinkedIn to connect with international contacts by joining global groups or attending virtual conferences, where they can engage with a broader audience.

Collaborating on Projects: Collaborative projects can foster deeper connections. Developers work on open-source projects with international teams, allowing them to learn from others and expand their network. Platforms like GitHub for developers allow for international collaboration.

However, given the Internet restrictions in some countries, such as China, where some websites cannot be viewed freely, building a PLN for the world is challenging

Overall, a well-rounded PLN includes active participation in a variety of platforms, engaging in community discussions, and seeking opportunities to connect and collaborate with a variety of professionals. PLN also needs to consider the risk factors in the interaction such as controversial content, sensitive content (such as political affiliations, religion) hate, and discriminatory content. By utilizing these PLNS, individuals can promote their professional growth and continuous learning.
